Investments by large companies and egg exports are boosting growth.

According to Mexican newspaper El Financiero, "Egg production in Mexico will increase by 4 percent by the end of 2015," as stated by Jorge Garcia de La Cadena, president of the National Poultry Producers Association (UNA), due to the increase in the investments and exports to the US. By contrast last year, Garcia de La Cadena mentioned there was only a 3 percent increase in egg production.   García de La Cadena also added, “This growth in Mexican egg production is supported by exports to the US market, recently affected by avian influenza.”

García de La Cadena considers that the Mexican poultry industry will continue to grow, in large due to companies that continue to invest in plants to add value to their products. In addition, eggs are being exported for the first time to the US, to supply that market. He also added, "Growth is happening cross-country in a proportional manner, such as in Veracruz, Torreon, Campeche, Guanajuato, Yucatan – Jalisco and Puebla have almost 70 percent of egg production, while chicken is concentrated in Veracruz, Nuevo Leon and Queretaro.”
