WorldPoultry: AI outbreak prompts Dutch chicken cull22-03-2013
A mild form of avian influenza has been reported on a poultry farm in the Dutch province of Flevoland, the country’s economic affairs ministry has said. The entire flock of 24,000 hens on the farm are being destroyed and a transport ban of poultry, eggs and poultry manure has been imposed in a 1 km radius around the farm in Zeewolde. There are, however, no other poultry farms in the area. |
